About this opportunity:

  • Location: Pine Royale 54002 Deerfield Country Club Rd, Callahan, FL 32011
  • Compensation: $17.00 -$20.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Position type: Part-Time/Full-Time, hours vary (days, nights, weekends) 

What we are looking for in a Cook:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (some HS education is required)
  • Proven working experience as a Cook is required
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively and thrive in a team environment
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet 
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. 
  • Must be able to pass the Safe Food Handler Certificate Program within 60 days fromthe  hire date

What will you do as a Cook with Dream Outdoors?

  • Prepare food items consistently and in a timely in alignment with standards; work with servers to ensure orders are completed according to the request and on time.
  • Operate grills, char broilers, fryers, convection ovens, and other kitchen equipment per operating guidelines; promptly report any repair needs.
  • Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation in efforts to meet and exceed business standards.
  • Contribute to food presentation and garnishing.
  • Handle, store, and rotate products properly.
  • Assist in receiving, stocking, storing, and checking food deliveries.
  • Perform shift opening and closing duties including cleaning kitchen mats, sweeping, and mopping kitchen, restocking supplies and food.
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
  • Ensure that food safety and sanitation standards are met, adhering to all Company and ServSafe health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Practice safe work habits by wearing proper safety equipment, hair nets, gloves, and properly washing hands as required.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dish areas including thorough and timely cleaning/sanitization of work prep areas, sweeping floors, clearing dirty dishes from the cooking area, and emptying the trash frequently.
  • Complete routine kitchen cleaning and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
